That’s right, it’s that time of the week. With Week 13 hitting all of us fantasy owners across the face, it’s time to start taking the game seriously and look at some of the prime producers for one last playoff push. Here are this week’s listings based on their statistics and matchups:
The Quarterback of the Lovers:
Philip Rivers, Chargers: With Rivers facing the 0-11 Browns, there is absolutely no chance the veteran quarterback will not go nuts. Over the past four games, Rivers has thrown for over 200 yards with at least one touchdown, going up against teams such as Jacksonville and Buffalo. The potential hall-of-famer is about to have one of the best games of the year, throwing at least two touchdowns on the collapsed Cleveland defense.
The Quarterback of the Haters:
Russell Wilson, Seahawks: With Russell Wilson going up against a strong Philadelphia defense, Wilson is destined to have a week of decline, as each Philadelphia defensive back has been going off against various offenses such as Dak Prescott with the Dallas Cowboys. Wilson will have at least one interception this week, but will have one touchdown.
The Running back of the Lovers:
Austin Ekeler, Chargers: Even behind the star back Melvin Gordon, Ekeler has been a solid back for many fantasy owners. Ekeler has been putting up steady numbers on the ground and in the air, and with a matchup against Cleveland, Ekeler is shaped up to have himself a productive day in the fantasy world.
The Running Back of the Haters:
Tevin Coleman, Falcons: With Devonta Freeman back from a concussion, fantasy owners are left to wonder what Dan Quinn will do with his backfield. Coleman is going to see a decreased amount of snaps, decreasing his fantasy value this week. However, many will want to check out Freeman, as he may get most of the red zone carries.
The Wide Receiver of the Lovers:
Davante Adams, Packers: With Adams getting more and more looks from quarterback Brett Hundley, Adams is on pace to be the Packers’ season leader in receiving. Going against a struggling Tampa Bay secondary, Adams is a must-start for your fantasy lineup. Adams is going to have at least 75 yards receiving along with a touchdown.
The Wide Receiver of the Haters:
Doug Baldwin, Seahawks: Like Russell Wilson, Baldwin is going to struggle against a red-hot Philadelphia secondary. Matched up against potential Pro-Bowler Ronald Darby, Baldwin is going to see very little looks from the pressured Russell Wilson. Look for receivers such as Tyler Lockett and Paul Richardson to get most of Wilson’s looks this week.
Other Lovers to Consider:
- Keenan Allen, Chargers
- Cooper Kupp, Rams
- LeSean McCoy, Bills
Other Haters to Consider:
- Kareem Hunt, Chiefs
- T.Y. Hilton, Colts
- Jay Ajayi, Eagles
